The issue of personal identity is highly nuanced. Depending upon which aspect of an individual is being highlighted the case may merit different responses. If we are to consider humans as people (as teachers or lawyers and likewise as persons), this question would be differently answered, than, if we focus on humans as concrete living and conscious beings which would lead to questions like: What am I?, When did I begin? and others. There are a number of inter-relating questions pertaining to personal identity. Some of these aspects are:
